In April 2006, Celtic Music Society traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, where we were one of four student groups to play at the 2006 National Music Student Leadership Conference. We also led a workshop on the teaching of folk music and, specifically, Irish traditional music in the American public schools.

The photo above was taken January 14, 2004, when Celtic Music Society was featured on WROC's Wake Up Rochester program. This was in the midst of 2004's brutal cold snap... When we arrived at school at 4:00 am, the air temperature was 8 degrees below zero, and the wind chill was nearly -25°. By the time everyone else had woken up, it had warmed up enough that we had a full day of school. Click the links below to see our segments.
